Lyrics
1. Creator of the Stars of Night/ Of The Father's Love Begotten
Creator of the stars of night,
Thy people's everlasting light
Jesu Redeemer , save us all
And hear thy servants when they call.

Thou, grieving that the ancient curse
Should doom to death a universe,
Didst come to save our fallen race
By healing gifts of heavenly grace.

Thou cam'st, the Bridegroom of the bride,
As drew the world to eveningtide;
Proceeding from a virgin shrine,
The spotless Victim all divine.

At whose dread name, majestic now,
All knees must bend , all hearts must bow;
All things celestial thee shall own,
And things terrestrial, Lord alone.

To God the Father, God the Son,
And God the Spirit, Three in One,
Laud, honour, might and glory be
From age to age eternally.

Of the Father's love begotten
Ere the worlds began to be,
He is Alpha and Omega,
He the source, the ending He,
Of the things that are, that have been,
And that future years shall see,
Evermore and evermore.

O that birth forever blessed,
When the virgin, full of grace,
By the Holy Ghost conceiving,
Bare the Savior of our race;
And the Babe, the world's Redeemer,
First revealed his sacred face,
Evermore and evermore.

This is he whom seers in old time
Chanted of with one accord;
Whom the voices of the prophets
Promised in their faithful word;
Now he shines, the long expected;
Let creation praise its Lord,
Evermore and evermore.

O ye heights of heaven , adore him;
Angel hosts, his praises sing;
Powers, dominions bow before him,
And extol our God and King;
Let no tongue on earth be silent,
Every voice in concert ring,
Evermore and evermore.

Christ to thee, with God the Father,
and, O Holy Ghost to thee,
Hymn and chant and high thanksgiving,
And unwearied praises be:
Honor, glory, and dominion,
And eternal victory,
Evermore and evermore.
Amen.

2. O Come, O Come, Emmanuel
O come, O come, Emmanuel,
and ransom captive Israel
that mourns in lonely exile here
until the Son of God appear.
Refrain:
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
shall come to you, O Israel.
O come, O Wisdom from on high,
who ordered all things mightily;
to us the path of knowledge show
and teach us in its ways to go. Refrain
O come, O Bright and Morning Star,
and bring us comfort from afar!
Dispel the shadows of the night
and turn our darkness into light. Refrain
O come, O King of nations, bind
in one the hearts of all mankind.
Bid all our sad divisions cease
and be yourself our King of Peace. Refrain

3. Comfort, Comfort Now My People

"Comfort, comfort now my people; tell of peace!" So says our God.
Comfort those who sit in darkness, mourning under sorrow's load.
To my people I proclaim pardon now in Jesus' name.
Tell them that their sins I cover, and their warfare now is over.

Now the herald's voice is crying in the desert far and near,
Calling us to true repentance, since the reign of God is here.
Oh that warning cry obey! Now prepare for God a way.
Let the valleys rise to meet him, and the hills bow down to greet him.

Straight shall be what once was crooked, and the rougher places plain.
Let your hearts be true and humble, welcoming God's holy reign.
For the glory of the Lord now on earth is shed abroad.
and all flesh shall see the token that God's word is never broken.

4. The People That Walked In Darkness ( from Messiah)

The people that walked in darkness,
have seen a great light,
And they that dwell in the land of shadow of death,
upon them hath the light shined.

5. Come, Thou Long-Expected Jesus

Come , Thou long- expected Jesus, born to set Thy people free:
From our fears and sins release us; let us find our rest in Thee.
Israel's strength and consolation, hope of all the earth Thou art;
Dear desire of every nation, joy of every longing heart.

Come to earth to taste our sadness, He whose glories knew no end;
By His life He brings us gladness, our Redeemer, Shepherd, Friend.
Leaving riches without number, born within a cattle stall;
This the everlasting wonder, Christ was born the Lord of all.

Born Thy people to deliver, born a child , and yet a King,
Born to reign in us forever, now Thy gracious Kingdom bring.
By Thine own eternal Spirit rule in all our hearts alone;
By Thine own sufficient merit, raise us to Thy glorious Throne.
